On Saturday, February 11th, Time Warner Cable will be working to re-route fiber optic cabling at a manhole near the football stadium construction area. During this cabling work, Time Warner Road Runner and Video (cable TV) services will be interrupted. The work is scheduled to begin at 9 AM and will last 6 - 8 hours. Estimated full restoral time is 5 PM.
The loss of these Time Warner Cable services will impact campus resident hall buildings - Wallis Hall (formerly Laurel Hall), Lynch Hall, Miltimore Hall (formerly Spruce Hall), and Greek Village, as well as any specific Time Warner services in Facilities Management and Police and Public Safety. There will be no Time Warner Internet or Video (cable TV) service in these areas during this outage.

Sunday night at approximately 9 PM the password change synchronization module between Active Directory and NinerMail (Live@edu) deadlocked. The problem was corrected this afternoon at 1:30.
There is a high probability that users using PWManager to change passwords during the time of the deadlocking did not have their new password set on NinerMail. PWManager cannot "see" password change successes or failures on NinerMail and would have not provided any feedback to the user that there was a problem.
Users who set new passwords during the deadlocking and have problems logging into NinerMail with the new password will need to set a new password using PWManager to resynch all of their accounts to a single password.

On Monday, January 16th (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day), ITS will be cutting over temporary copper and fiber cables from Holshouser Hall to Scott Hall to allow additional preparation for Phase 11 and the demolition of the shed pad in the area in a couple of months. During this cutover, the services below will be affected in the Scott Hall building from approximately 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
The fiber cable will be spliced first, so we expect services on fiber (fire alarm, data, etc.) to be back up in Scott Hall in approximately 3 hours. The copper cable cutover will run into the mid-afternoon.
The permanent cable will be cutover sometime in May when the new conduit/duct banks are installed for Phase 11.
